Reading/Audio List

I’d like to thank the many people who have been a part of inspiring my life though books/audio/internet.  Here’s a list of thanks and suggested reading/listening.

  • Martin E.P. Seligman, Ph.D. for Learned Optimism. I can see where I’ve hindered my self over the years. I have a new, better definition and understanding of optimism. I HIGHLY suggest this to anyone who needs scientific “proof” of the effects of optimism and anyone who just wants to further empower themselves.

  • Dr. Wayne W.  Dyer for the many books/audio/videos that have touched me, especially Your Erroneous Zones, which was one of the first self help books I ever read, and 10 Secrets for Success and Inner Peace, which found its way to me as a birthday present and is a recurring source of wisdom, quotation, and inspiration.

  • Mark Victor Hansen and Robert G. Allen for The One Minute Millionaire. This book helped to change my relationship with money and started me on an “I’m a money magnet” manifesting path!

  • Dale Carnegie for How to Win Friends & Influence People.  This book called to me in a bookstore during a life crisis (the beginning stage of separation/divorce).  I didn’t need to win friends and didn’t need to influence people, I was having a life crisis!  I purchased it anyway because something inside kept telling me to purchase it. Who knew a business management skill book was just what I needed!

  • Jack Canfield for The Success Principles which is chocked full of powerful examples and insights.  Also for his incredible, powerful, life changing audio program Effortless Success: Living the Law of Attraction. It has helped me to make small significant changes in my life. I’d also like to thank him for speaking at an event for the United Boys & Girls Club of Santa Barbara.  His presence and message inspired me to be better and do better! I aspire to light up a room and inspire people like Jack.

  • Paul R. Sheele for the many products he produces/distributes through Learning Strategies.  Thanks for sending out limited time free listening sessions!  Because of these free sessions I was exposed to many great programs, especially Jack Canfield’s Effortless Success: Living the Law of Attraction.   I purchased this program and it has had a significant impact on my life.  Paul’s participation in the “Effortless Success” program was inspirational and impactful as well.

  • Hale Dwoskin and Lester Levinson for The Sedona Method. I asked the Universe for help in the form of a retreat.  Through a series of seemingly random things, I came across the Sedona Method retreat which was the only retreat I found that fit the time I had available.  I went to it not knowing what it was.  Of course, it was just what I needed.  Hale is love and kindness in a human form. His program and presence changed my life. It was during this retreat that I started my heart manifesting journey.

  • Andy Shaw for the A Bug Free Mind site.  Andy’s insight into the mind is fabulous.  His brief pointed videos are brilliantly done.  He has a great sense of humor that comes out in many parts of his work.  I love laughing while learning and growing.

  • Rhonda Byrne for The Secret, a movie that brought the law of attraction into my life.

  • Abraham-Hicks for The Vortex, Ask and it is Given, and the many YouTube videos!  Once I started down the Abraham-Hicks path, I began to have a deeper understanding of the law of attraction that I didn’t quite get from The Secret.

  • Mike Robbins for Nothing Changes until You Do. His honesty about personal challenges really hit home with me. He said a lot of things I needed to hear, and said them in a way I could hear them.

  • Anthony De Mello for Praying Naked. I needed his analogies and insights to go just a bit deeper in certain areas.

  • Maxwell Maltz, M.D., F.I.C.S. for Psycho-Cybernetics.  The title of this book kind of scared me but I read it anyway.  I’m so glad I did!  As a plastic surgeon, Maxwell’s unique and incredible insight into one’s self image was eye opening and extremely helpful.

  • Michael Neill for The Inside-Out Revolution.  I got a deeper understanding of myself, my thought processes, and consciousness because of the way he presented things.  I regularly listen to this and always get another layer of understanding.
