What is The Law of Attraction

The first sentence on for the law of attraction is: “The law of attraction is the name given to the term that ‘like attracts like’ and that by focusing on positive or negative thoughts, one can bring about positive or negative results.”  I like this simple definition as a starting off point. Because I desired a well-rounded perspective, my understanding of the law of attraction has come through reading and listening to many different people who have explored the topic. Here are some takeaways I have had as a result of my understanding of the law of attraction:

  • The law of attraction doesn’t concern itself with “good” or “bad” but is rather a cause and effect type of experience that’s based on your thinking/expectations/core beliefs.
  • Core beliefs can be key resistance points that keep manifestations from happening.
  • What you focus on, and put your attention to, will increase.
  • If you want to see a different result, you need pay attention to and focus on what you want as the result.
  • Everything starts with a thought. Everything is changed by and with a thought.
  • How you feel about what you say/want is more important than what you say you want.
  • No matter where you start from, you can always make a change, create a shift, adjust your perspective, and start a new point of attraction.
  • Positive results come from being solution oriented instead of problem centered.

The visible law of attraction is my endeavor to physically show/document the law of attraction by photographing found hearts in nature that I’ve purposefully attracted into my life using the principles of the law of attraction.

If you are new to the law of attraction, I highly suggest multiple sources of information for gaining knowledge of it because it is complex in its simplicity. I’ve provided a list of audio/reading sources that were and are helpful to me. Please note that many items on the list are not specifically related to the law of attraction.

I’d like to thank the many people who have been a part of inspiring my life though books/audio/internet.  Here’s a list of thanks and suggested reading/listening.
